I've had it on for about three weeks so far and it has stayed on very well with no lifting on any of the edges. This is the second brand of screen protector I have tried for the 8830 and by far the best. The last brand I tried (three in total) which was very similar was almost impossible to attached without bubbles and began to lift on the upper edges almost immediatesly. Optics are excellent in all lights. It fit perfectly and went on very easily with no bubbles (an installation I did on a plane by the way). This allowed dirt to accumulate and look bad and eventually it lost all adhesion. Rewetting and reapplying did not work well (not sure if it would with this brand either).
Start at the bottom and align the protector around the track-ball first, then press slowly upwards until it is completely bubble-free. This product works exactly as how I wanted it. Your bound to get bubbles (as with any protector) so make an effort to get the bubbles out before laying the whole protector down. Be careful when applying the protector. Clean the screen very well before starting. The cloth is great for cleaning up the screen. Glad I bought this.
All I can say that I am satisfied with this product. Would highly recommend this to any one who wants to take good care of their devices.Make sure you read the instructions carefully before you apply this screen on your BB.
These protective plastic sticky sheets do get scratched. I have gone through about 4 of these over the two years that I have used my 8830. I just don't like scratches on my screen. However, better that these temporary screen protectors get scratched than the actual screen itself. Most of the price is for shipping and the total expense is comparable if not much better than that seen at cell phone stores.
As far as I can tell the reusable part is misleading. Maybe reusable is talking about the phone, or should be removable. I did the first phone perfectly fine, but the second phone had a piece of dust blow in behind the cover. I was unable to "clean" the cover. In any case I recommend getting a couple of these just in case. They are usually cheap compared to shipping and handling to get a second if the installation doesn't go perfectly.
